The boy must Unresectable Because Could not Stop Laughing

The boy must Unresectable Because Could not Stop Laughing - Because there is a tumor in his brain, a boy in the United States is often sudden laugh for no reason and could not stop if you do not fit. To stop him, the boy had to undergo brain surgery two times.

Matthew Ephrem, 2-year-old boy from Minnesota had suffered since childhood. Without any apparent reason, Matthew often sudden burst out laughing and only stopped when he suffered a seizure like epilepsy.

During the second year, Tigist Feyisa Ephrem Mekonnen mother and father had consulted several doctors but not yet know the cause. Until a few months ago, doctors diagnosed Matthew suffered a brain tumor.

Brain tumor called hypothalamic hamartoma is relatively rare because it only affects 1 in 1 million children around the world. Due to suppress the growth of brain tissue, once in a while Matthew will experience disorientation or confusion and then suddenly laughed.

Last week, Matthew is reported to have undergone two major operations to remove tumors in his brain tissue. The second operation was led by Dr. Harold Rekate, a neurological surgeon from North Shore University Hospital is located in Long Island.

"There is no word that represents our happiness. Since undergoing surgery almost 10 days, no more seizures, no longer laughing, and Matthew could be himself," said Ephrem Mekonnen, the father of Matthew, as quoted from Dailymail, Sunday (8/4 / 2012).

Dr. Rekate own deeply satisfied with the results of such operations, as well as grateful to be known and the tumor was inoperable since I was early. He believes the future of Matthew is still very long and the boy still had a lot of expectations to be realized.
