Women Smile More Than Men - A smile can be a signal that joy or happiness can affect those around them. But apparently women smile more than men. Why is that?
Although the smile can be done by anyone, but there are differences in the number of smiles based on sex. Research shows the average women smile more than men.
Marianne LaFrance is a professor of psychology at Yale University in the book 'Lip Service' tells us there are several reasons that make women smile more frequently and easily than men, as quoted by MSNBC, Saturday (07/04/2012), namely:
A. Researchers found that the primary smile muscle known as zygomaticus major thicker in women than men. This condition is likely to make women smile more often.
2. Known work by the women acted more often smiling as demand for nurses, teachers, flight attendants, maid service or a receptionist.
3. Woman or girl is born with a more positive orientation to socialization, so it tends to reduce conflict and emotional care to another person
Some experts claim it takes fewer muscles to smile than pout, that it takes 43 muscles to frown and only 17 muscles to smile. But there is also mention the required 62 muscles to frown and only 26 muscles to smile.
Smiling can be done consciously or unconsciously seen as a form of happiness and friendliness. As well as an important part of human relationships and communication.
Another fact that was found was an Englishman usually smile with teeth showing the top and bottom, whereas Americans are more exposed upper teeth when smiling.
In addition one study found a fake smile or a deliberate average 10 times greater than normal with a smile, this is likely due to a fake smile is so that people see.
